Dear Family
How are things going? I am doing well Elder Baker and Elder Miranda had a baptism last weekend and they are doing well they have another baptism planned for this Saturday Elder Martins and I are still looking for some new investigators we have a few investigators who should be baptized in the future. Sunday was a little tough because it was a holiday and we did not have a lot of investigators who made it to church but hopefully this week will be better. I hope that everyone has a good week and until Sunday

Happy Birthday Dad I hope that you had a great birthday. I am doing well but this past week we did not get a lot done because Thursday until Sunday was holidays and with everyone traveling and partying we did not have a lot of people to teach but this week should be better. We don't have a lot of investigators that are progressing well so I think this week we will focus on finding new investigators. I would like to give my talk sooner rather than later and I don't think I will take a lot of time I don't think I will take more 10 minutes I think it will be really short. Is there a topic I speak on or do I just talk about the mission? My card has money but I am not able to get money from the ATM machine but I can use my card to pay for things so I don't think I will have any problems. But I not worried about souvenirs for me but what I could get for everyone else. I hope that everyone has a good week and until next week

How are things going? Sounds like things are going well and that´s great that you were able to be there for Jordan´s farewell and that everything is going well. I hope that you guys can have a good time in Arizona. How long will you stay? And who all went? But I am doing well this week we worked hard but some of the people we are working with did not make it to church so we don't have any one progressing or who are close to being baptized but we did have an old couple who went I think that they felt good also gladir, the young man who was baptized last week, brought one of his friends to church which is good it sounds like he last a lot of his friends because he was baptized but we will pass by his friends house the end of this week. I think that the rainy season ended so it should not rain any more not until September. I am not able to take money out of my card the machine says that its not permitted but I don't know what I can buy as souvenirs for everyone I think maybe in the airport they might have some things but where I am serving its not much of a place where people visit so they don't have a lot of places for souvenirs so I don't know what I would be able to buy for everyone. A while back I bought a soccer jersey of Brasil for myself but I don't know what I could buy for everyone else.
I hope that everyone has a good visit in Arizona and a safe trip back and until next week

How is everyone doing? I am doing well. This week went well, a little slow but well we did not have any investigators at church and we are searching for new investigators but we have not had much luck yet. it rained a little this week. Also transfers will be tomorrow me and my companion were transferred to Goiania and half of the zone was transferred but there has not been a lot of changes in the zone for while now so we kind of expected a lot of changes. Also I received your package this week. Thank you very much for sending me the package, also thanks for the tie its great. thanks for the nutella I really like nutella did you buy it from Italy? I was planning to buy some this week but now I don't have to buts its a little expensive here. I don't need anything for my birthday I will be home soon after and packages take so long to arrive also they cost a lot send.
It´s good to hear that everyone is doing well. That´s crazy that Jeremy will be serving in the same mission Alissa served, is really excited to serve? Also its crazy that Jordan is preparing for his call I wonder where he will be called. Well I will be looking forward to hearing about how things go for Jeremy as he prepares to serve also about Jordan when he receives his call. no maria never wrote, she should be leaving for Brazil next month right?
I hope that everything goes well for everyone this week and until next week.

How is everything going? Things are going well here. The work this week has been a little slow everyone is celebrating the holidays so we hardly encounter any at home and there is hardly any one in the street everyone is partying but hopefully things will get back to normal here in a little while. It has rained a little this week and its a lot cooler today which is good. But not much has happened this week it sounds like mom, Isaiah, and nephi had a good new years I hope that everyone´s week goes well and until next week.

Dear Family,
How is everyone doing? We are working with the members a lot right now. Last week we talked with a woman on the street the missionaries already taught her about the restoration and about smith but did not explain the Book of Mormon to her. We explained the Book of Mormon left a copy with a part marked and we invited her to read and pray to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. she fell asleep during the prayer and had a dream and in her dream she was going through surgery for a long time she had some kind of pain and was not able to ride the bus or ride in a car because of the pain but when she woke up the next day she no longer had that pain she made it to church Sunday but we have not had the chance to teach her yet so hopefully we can get her address and meet with her this week.
I hope everything goes well for everyone this week.

I am doing well. This week was a little dissapointing we were not able to meet with a lot of our investigators and we were not able to get any of them to go to church this sunday. The area we have focusing is far from our house and far from the chapel so I think we are going to focus on a different area the next three weeks. Theres a bakery near our house and there is a lady that works there and her and here son went to church with us this sunday. She said that she liked our church and we taught her the first lesson monday it was really good the spirit was there and I think next week she will be baptized but we will because right I am working with Elder P Souza in Jaiara for a few days. I am doing well I feel a little more confident in speaking portuguese. I dont always understand everything but I am geting better.
I am glad to hear that everything is going well for everyone and I hope that veterans day goes well for everyone.

Dear Mom
I received a package from Aunt Becky last week that had some candy bars and a few snacks and I received your package today along with my visa card and the 20 dollar bill. Thank you for the CD I accidentally erased all my music so right now I don't have a whole lot of music. I am out of time.

How is everything going? I am doing well. This past week I have had the opportunity to teach the first lesson in english to an investigator. He has only been studying english for two months but he understands us really well. He says he knows nineteen different languages and he has been studying the Bible in Greek. But he left town for the weekend so we only taught him once. Sunday we only had about 29 members at church and our ward has been going down hill for a while now if it continues they might divide the ward into the other wards. We have chapel there are only three chapels here in Anapolis and most of the branches that don't have a chapel to attend have more active members than we do so these nest few weeks we are going to be with the members and less active members a lot more. Overall everything is well.
I hope everything goes well for everything this week it sounds like well and I hope that it continues.

How is everything going? I am doing well. The weather here is so warm I am use to it starting to cool down by now but here its warm all year round. This was my first week working with Elder Challis. He works hard and does not waist a lot of time. This week went okay we received a lot of addresses but we were not able to get into very many homes. There was this one man that we talked to on the street right outside his home he seemed like a really good man and he wanted to hear about the gospel but when we passed his house to share a message his wife did not want us in her house she said she has a religion, that she believes in the Bible and that she does not want to hear the gospel and she does not want us in her home. Yesterday we attended the church of another religion because the man agreed in we attended his church he let us into his home. It was the first time I have attended another church and the experience was a little weird. Also I had the opportunity of eating pig skin for the first time which sounds a little gross but it tasted alright but I don't know that I will eat again just because of the fact thats pig skin. I think my Portuguese is coming along well but I still have a lot of room for improvement. But I am doing well I am slowly moving forward and improving.
I hope everything goes well for everyone this week and Have a happy Halloween.

Dear Family
I am doing well. Transfers were today. I am in the same area but I have a new companion Elder Challis. he is from St George so his family does not live far from where you are. Elder Baker will be serving in Anapolis this transfer he arrived in the CTM at the same time I did so there will be 4 out of the 9 Americans in our group that will be working in Anapolis.
Right now I have not been teaching a whole lot of people. This area is a little tough. Its in the middle of the city where all the big stores are or downtown. But I don't know things might be a little different with Elder Challis. My companion does most of the talking I can help teach some of the lessons but I can't do a whole lot else. One thing I have trouble is in Portuguese when they ask a question they state it as a fact and I am listening for a who, what, when, where, or why so I have a hard time understanding their questions sometimes.
Sunday it rained really hard and one of the roads washed away. It was where the irrigation runs underneath the street. the water just completely washed everything away included a store.
I'm doing well and I am learning a lot. I get really nervous so I don't talk a whole lot but I am learning to talk more and I am learning how to speak portuguese but I am learning really slow. I have a hard time speaking some words correctly and I feel overwhelmed or like its impossible but I will eventually learn how to speak portuguese. I wrote some letters but I dont have any money to send them right now. I feel bad because I have not responded to any letters I have received.
The people here are really nice; one member that has helped us a lot is Andrade he was taught by the missionaries and I think that he has been a member for more than a year. He has a strong testimony. One thing I wish I'd brought with me is pictures I don't know why I did not think to bring pictures with me. Make sure you put lots of pictures in the next package you send

I am doing well. I spent the last week with Elder Owen in his area. I learned a lot form Elder Owen just by the example he set. He makes everything seem simple and easy. I feel more confindent in learning the language wheras before I was having a hard time was feeling a little stressed but now I feel like everything will be ok and that I will eventually be able to speak with no problems. I am really behind on learning portuguese but I am still learning. His area is a lot smaller than my area which was nice because we did not have to walk as much. And the people are really nice. We had 4 batism planed for sunday. a girl about 18 years old and her friend and a mother her daughter but the mother and daughter did not want to get baptize that week and the girls grandmother got sick so they will be baptized in two weeks.
I am excited for conference this sunday. I never really paid close attention to the talks that were given at conference. we have a prophet, apostles, and church authories today that receive revelation from God and I did not really understand what that meant or what blessing it is to have a prophet to lead and guide us and direct the church.
The mail has stoped here so now is not a good time. Its good to that everything is going well and that your sewing bussiness is going well. Do you have a place you go to teach others to sew or do you teach at home?
Let everyone know that I love and miss them and I hope everything goes well this week.
