From Braedon

hey,

so this week has been honestly kinda lame. a lot of the elders here are
slacking off big time and it bugs me. this last month has been the worst month (in terms of baptisms) for president donaldson since hes been here, but a lot of the elders dont seem to care. little boys, dont be slackers. sure, you can have fun on the mission, but it shouldnt be a priority over the actual mission work. bah humbug to them. oh well, interviews are this wednesday and im sure president will lay into us and let us know whats up. im actually really excited for interviews, i really enjoy talking with president and sister donaldson. they rock. what else is coming up...the filming crews leave in a week. they filmed the fireside we had last night. i made sure that i got in a few shots (man im just like dad when he tries to get on the camera at sports games). one was kinda awkward. i was talking with president and sister donaldson, then sister voyles (a sister from my district in the mtc) and started talking to us too. well, shes one of the 'stars' in the new movies, so the cameras of course were watching her. well she started telling president about this cool story from this last week and out of nowhere theres a camera right up in our grill making sure to get it all. well, i was standing between president donaldson and sister voyles, so im smack dab in the middle of all this and i have no idea what to do. i just kinda sat there and looked at them as they talked back and forth to each other. i shouldve thrown in a 'wooooord' or pointed to roney on my name tag or something. but alas, i froze and just kicked it. oh well, maybe ill have one last chance before the crews leave. but yah, the madness isnt over once they leave. next transfer instead of zone conference, salt lake is sending down people to train us for three days straight. intense. then the assistants and zone leaders are going to go around training all of the other elders for another 3 days. fun stuff. so yup, we got that to look forward to. what else is going all. sofia rocks. shes helping us out with missionary work. a couple weeks ago we taught her neighbor who she invited in to listen, then she brought him to church yesterday. she rocks. she feeds us pretty consistently now too. we already have an appointment with her for thanksgiving haha. she makes me smile. her kids still listen to us but wont do much more than that. bummer. with time maybe theyll loosen up. alejandro and his wife arent so solid anymore. he messed up with drinking and such so doesnt want to talk to us (i dont know what he thinks were going to do to him) so is impossible to get a hold of. bah humbug to that. oyuki is still pretty good but her husband is a nut and so that makes it hard to get a good lesson with her. were working with this family thats opened up to us pretty well. the daughter lucero is ready to be baptized and has even come to our church a few times in the past, but her parents arent exactly that supportive of it all. shes 17 so we have to get the parents permission before that happens. the mom likes us but the dad is kind of stubborn and lame. so were gonna try and soften him up and hopefully get things rolling with them. hermana sanchez is on fire but life just doesnt agree with her. her son got put in jail, deported, is alone in tijajuana without money or a place to go, her grandkids are super sick (like been sick for 3 months to the point where they cant leave bed), shes got health problems, shes got like no money because shes sending it to her sick grandkids and son, and once her supervisor finally said she could come to church, a bunch of lazy coworkers called in sick so she got called in before church. freaking lame. i hate seeing all this crap happen to her. shes loves this stuff but cant get life straightened out enough to be able to live it fully. she cant quit work right now because of her health problems, her grandkids, and her son, so were going to ask the relief society to keep an eye out for other jobs and let her know if anything opens up. pray for her please, she rocks and deserves things to start going her way. what else. nothing much. bikes fine. my health is fine. oh yeah. the other night at like midnight elder naylor woke me up and said, "elder, wake up, dont you hear that?" i came around and heard a guy and a girl yelling at the top of their lungs at each other. naylor said, 'what should we do elder, this has been going on for like 15 minutes'. well, i dont enjoy being kept up by drunkards, especially when theyre being dirtbags to girls, so my answer was to call the cops. they came, started taking him away as he was cussing up a storm, then he tried to throw one of the cops off of him. bad idea on his part. the other cop leveled him. i know i shouldnt think thats funny, but i cant help it. i wish i wouldve got that on video. that noob got pwned. they finally got him in the car and gone away without much more happening, but it was an interesting tidbit of the night. and the sad part? the girl that was like bawling because the guy was screaming at her kept saying, 'no, dont take him away, hes my boy, just leave him alone.' man, any guy that degrades you like that to the point where youre bawling does not deserve your defense. sad situation for her i guess. but yes, the tackle was awesome...i dare say it was
espn worthy...ok ill stop joking around about a serious issue i guess. what else...i think thats about it for right now. im glad to hear that the family is doing well. ashton got 6 A's? props dude. im sure the other boys and britt and doing well too. i got letters from them and it sounds like they all enjoyed their halloween and such. im glad. byu pwned. thats good. hopefully they can keep it up. im stoked about real salt lake doing so well. i loooove soccer. my skin may still be white, but im going mexican on the inside. i love corn tortillas, beans, rice, and all that good stuff more than i do bread and sandwiches and such now. when i have the choice to throw a football or kick a soccer ball, i choose soccer. i look for any chance to suggest a party, regardless of how lame the excuse. and, i find myself singing ghetto mexican beats...ugh i hate that stuff, but its all i hear all day out on the street and its being inscribed onto my brain. aaaaah. send me a cd player with motab or something! well, i cant think of much more to tell you guys. sounds like blake and brooke and ?nedra? are doing a lot right now...thats cool and i hope it works out well. im glad the moving around of all the borens is going alright, and im sure that ashton didnt mind getting out of school for a few hours. its a bummer that its gotten too cold for tennis up there. its a good thing youve got halo to hold you over through the winter right? haha. just joking. go read scriptures, and do service instead of that boys. and help mom out with lots of chores. thanks for the package with the toothpaste and shampoo and such. that stuff is expensive at the store. i thought it was kind of ironic that i got all
that toothpaste and those toothbrushes accompanied with a bunch of candy suckers haha. well, my teeth still dont ache and im actually taking more care of my teeth than at home, so im not worried about cavities. what else....i think thats about it. if anything else comes up ill let ya know through the mail. as for now, keep it up, know youre in my prayers all the time, that i brag about my family, friends, and home all the time, and that i love you all. until next week.

From Moroni

Dear Family,

How is everyone doing? We are working with the members a lot right now. Last week we talked with a woman on the street the missionaries already taught her about the restoration and about smith but did not explain the Book of Mormon to her. We explained the Book of Mormon left a copy with a part marked and we invited her to read and pray to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. she fell asleep during the prayer and had a dream and in her dream she was going through surgery for a long time she had some kind of pain and was not able to ride the bus or ride in a car because of the pain but when she woke up the next day she no longer had that pain she made it to church Sunday but we have not had the chance to teach her yet so hopefully we can get her address and meet with her this week.

I hope everything goes well for everyone this week.

Dear Mom

How are things going? This weekend we had two baptisms jean and gilmar. Gilmar is 19 and wants to serve a mission which is good the stake president here is really focused on young men serving a mission. also sunday night we had a musical fireside the one of the sisters put together it was about the plan of salvation and it was really good and she sings really well but hardly anyone showed up so the stake president wants to do it again at the end of this month. tomarrow my companion and I have to go to goiania to renew our visas and it is about an 7 hour trip to goiania so we will be traveling for the next two days. we should have two baptisms the end of this week.

I hope that everything goes well for everyone this week and until nexr week
